Preview completed survey responses and choose which feedback to bring into Discovery. Imported text keeps its questions and source references.
SurveyMonkey approval is pending. While the provider app remains in draft, only its owner’s SurveyMonkey account can authorize a new connection. Existing workspace connections can preview and import available responses.
Connect SurveyMonkey
You need owner or admin access to the Zentrik workspace, a destination product, and a SurveyMonkey account that can read the selected surveys and response details. SurveyMonkey plan and API limits can restrict the answers available to import.
- Open Settings → Integrations and search for SurveyMonkey.
- Choose Connect SurveyMonkey and complete authorization on SurveyMonkey’s screen.
- Approve the requested read permissions and return to Zentrik.
- Open the connected SurveyMonkey row to reach Bring in survey responses.
Zentrik reads existing surveys and responses. It does not create surveys, send invitations, or change answers. You enter your SurveyMonkey password only on SurveyMonkey’s sign-in screen.
Preview and import responses
- On the SurveyMonkey connection page, choose a Survey.
- Choose a Response window of the last 7, 30, or 90 days and the destination Product.
- Select Preview responses. Only completed responses appear. Expand an answer to read its full question context.
- If you want to retain Net Promoter Score (NPS), choose a complete 0–10 recommendation question under NPS question (optional), then preview again. Leave Do not interpret ratings as NPS selected for other rating scales.
- Select up to 25 responses on the current preview page and choose Import selected responses. The button includes the number selected. Use Next page to review another page.
This selection imports only the responses you reviewed. Contact fields, IP addresses, and uploaded files are excluded. To repeat a source scope or bring in a historical range, save an import as described below.
Save an import
- Open Imports on the SurveyMonkey connection and choose New import.
- Name the import, choose a Survey and destination Product, and optionally select an NPS question with the complete 0–10 scale.
- Leave Create signals from useful comments off to store survey records only. To process written feedback, turn it on and select the questions to include. Comments need at least 20 characters; ratings alone never create Signals.
- Choose Keep current to pick up new and edited responses, or Historical date range for a fixed response-date window. Historical imports stop when that window and its comment processing are complete.
- Under Scope and batch limits, optionally enter a Collector ID and adjust the response and Signal limits. The initial lookback for Keep current defaults to 30 days.
- Choose Create draft, test it, review the preview, then activate it with an available cadence. Testing reads the source without importing responses.
A saved import keeps its Product and NPS question attached to its stored responses. Changing those selections requires review when responses already have a different mapping. Survey question changes also require a new tested revision.
Keep-current imports check modification dates with a short overlap for delayed responses. This does not establish complete response-date history. Use a historical range to check older response dates; provider access, retention, and indexing delays still limit what Zentrik can read.
Check the result
The result reports stored survey responses and feedback Signals created, updated, or unchanged. Open a Signal link to check the original answers and selected product in Discovery. A Signal is an imported source record; processing extracts Evidence the team can review.
Selected manual responses with supported text create feedback Signals. Saved imports process only the written questions you enabled. Responses containing only closed answers stay as survey records. Importing an unchanged response again reports it as unchanged and keeps the existing Signal.
Disconnect and retained data
Use Disconnect on the SurveyMonkey connection in Zentrik to remove its saved connection credentials. To revoke the provider’s authorization, remove Zentrik under My Account → Linked Accounts in SurveyMonkey.
Disconnecting stops future access through that connection. Imported Signals, Evidence, and survey records remain in the workspace. Manage retained records separately in Zentrik according to your team’s retention policy.
Troubleshooting
Most connection problems clear up after a fresh authorization or an admin allows the app. If you have tried that and still cannot connect, contact us and we will help.
A saved import is still in progress or paused
Open its latest run to check the response window, deferred comments, or processing failure. Batch limits can spread work across several runs. A rate limit or incomplete provider page keeps the previous checkpoint. Review failed Signals before resuming. If a dense window exceeds the response cap, increase Responses per window up to 1,000 or narrow the collector scope.
SurveyMonkey refuses authorization
While approval is pending, the draft app accepts only its owner’s SurveyMonkey account. For another account, wait for public-app approval. See SurveyMonkey’s draft-app rules.
Responses are missing
Confirm the connected SurveyMonkey account can see the survey and response details. Choose the correct response window and check other preview pages. Newly completed responses can take time to appear in date-filtered reads; preview again after SurveyMonkey has updated them.
Import is unavailable or access was revoked
Confirm you are a workspace owner or admin, choose a destination Product, and select responses from the current preview. If SurveyMonkey access was revoked or read permissions changed, use Reconnect on the connection page. Contact support if the problem continues.
